How Would Jesus Do Business?

If Jesus was the CEO of Joseph & Sons Carpentry, how would he do business? One thing I do know, he wouldn’t run it like most people do today, because he never would have gotten us into the financial mess that we are experiencing right now!
I believe Jesus would have been the quintessential “Biblical Entrepreneur“. If that’s the case, what is a Biblical Entrepreneur?
Biblical Entrepreneurs are not religious fanatics who expect God to bless their business just because they are Christians. On the contrary, Biblical Entrepreneurs use the Bible as a filter, guide, and benchmark to strategically and responsibly plan, develop, and manage their business operations, relationships, and finances. They keenly understand how to identify opportunities, take calculated risks, solve problems, and exercise stewardship in order to build a profitable and sustainable enterprise that honors God and transforms lives.
The values and characteristics of a Biblical Entrepreneur include vision, strategic leadership, integrity, creativity and innovation, risk-taking, professionalism, business savvy, graciousness, humility, and unconditional love for people. Without question, these are business characteristics that Jesus would endorse.

Biblical Entrepreneurs do business God’s way, with God’s resources, with God’s results, for God’s glory! That’s how Jesus would do business!
So, how can you become an official Biblical Entrepreneur? I’m glad you asked. The Biblical Entrepreneurship (BE) Certificate Program is a proprietary business discipleship course, created by Patrice and Gina Tsague at Nehemiah Project International Ministries (NPIM). BE offers a strong mix of core business concepts and biblical principles, and has been endorsed by Regent University and many other reputable organizations.
Some of the courses include Principles of Biblical Entrepreneurship (BE I), Practices of Biblical Entrepreneurship (BE II), and Planning a Kingdom Business (BE III). Students who complete the entire course (BE I, II, and III) participate in a business plan competition and receive a Biblical Entrepreneurship Certificate through NPIM and the Regent Center for Entrepreneurship.
I will be teaching an online version of BE I that starts Thursday, May 28th:
  • “Principles of Biblical Entrepreneurship”
  • Thursday, May 28th – Thursday, July 30th (10 sessions)
  • 8:30 PM – 10:00 PM EST
  • Registration Link: http://tinyurl.com/be1online
  • Cost $400
BE is specifically suited for current or aspiring entrepreneurs who desire to do business based on a higher calling.
